Working with clients

For this i was asked to create a concept piece for a upcoming short film. The basic explanation of this was to make a creepy little girl look as though shes just walking out from the darkness, a mobile phone also plays a prominent role in this film so i decided to make this apart of the piece too.

Mudbox Character

 This is my first 3D character model I have created. 

Weapon Design

 For my current Unit in my Games Design course, we were asked to create a 3D Model for an object that could be used in game. I came up with the idea of creating a weapon.

I created the model in Mudbox, i wanted it to be quite organic and creepy. I took a lot of inspiration from games like Mass Effect, and Halo. I really like the designs and how they looked so alien like, so i decided i really wanted to portray this in my design. I started by looking at deep sea creatures and spiders. 

Games Design

After starting a Uni course in Newcastle College for Games Design, we have being doing lots of concept art and environments. These are my final pieces for the first project.

Concept Art

These are concept pieces i created for my final unit in Interactive media. I used acrylic paints on canvas to get the backgrounds i wanted, I then took images of the canvas and put them into Photoshop where i then painted digitally over the top. These concept pieces are based on Norse Mythology.

Games Design Unit

This work is for a game design unit in college. We had to create a game design, story, characters, concept art and interfaces. I created designs for a Sci Fi RPG called Orbital Shift.

Online Portfolio- First post

My blog will be aimed at other people with similar interests, creative people such as other designers, fellow students, and people interested in Games Design.
This blog is for me to discuss my own work, interests and have an online portfolio.  I can also use my blog to connect with people with similar interests.
The content that will be displayed on my blog are images of my own work, how i created the piece and an overall evaluation of the work. I would also feature other artists work that inspire me, i could put their artwork on my blog and explain why i like it.  I could feature concept art, character design, animations and other related works. I may also review some games and talk about the art style and interface. I would also write about my past and current projects, my college work and my art work created in my own time would be featured.
